GERMAINE GIOIA, SVP of Licensing, Capcom Entertainment
As the SVP of Licensing for Capcom Entertainment in the US and European territories, Gioia is primarily responsible for efforts to secure merchandising partnerships for the company’s broad portfolio of renowned, original franchises, including electronics, apparel, book and music publishing, toy, home furnishings, promotion and media for Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Lost Planet, Bionic Commando, Mega Man, Monster Hunter, Dead Rising and Devil May Cry franchises, amongst others. She oversees intellectual property and talent procurement for Capcom Entertainment on console, PC and handheld platforms. Gioia is also charged with managing the company’s licensor, talent and entertainment agency relationships. Previously, Gioia headed the licensing efforts of global publisher THQ for 14 years. Before joining THQ, she was director of corporate communications at CIC, a high-technology computer software development company in Silicon Valley. She also served for three years at LucasArts Entertainment Company in corporate marketing communications. Gioia holds a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.
